TUD Dresden University of Technology is one of the largest Universities of Technology in Germany and is among the leading and most dynamic universities in the country. With 17 Faculties across five Schools, it offers a widespread range of119 degree programs and covers a broad spectrum of research. Its focuses on Life Sciences, Quantum Materials, Microelectronics, Tactile Internet, Materials Science, Data-Intensive and Digital Sciences, Circular Economy and Societal Change are considered exemplary across Europe.
Today, 8,500 employees work at TUD and about 29,000 students are enrolled. Internationally, TUD has earned an excellent reputation. About 20% of its students come from abroad.

- Campus Infrastructure: The foundation stone was laid for the new Lehmann Center, a €101 million research hub expected to house 600 experts focused on digital transformation, AI, and high-performance computing.
- Research Breakthroughs: TUD researchers released findings on how Large Language Models (LLMs) and artificial intelligence can be leveraged to decode human decision-making and cognitive strategies.
- Major Exhibitions & Public Events: The university hosted OUTPUT.DD, showcasing interactive AI and computer science exhibits, alongside workshops exploring the intersection of capital, art, and technology.
- Upcoming Initiatives: The university is preparing for the Henry Arnhold Dresden Summer School—running from October 25 to 31, 2026, themed around art, culture, and power—with applications opening up to July 20.
